Men's Summer Trends 2025
As the weather is getting warmer it’s time to give your wardrobe a refresh. From severance inspired office chic, to the come-back of the jean shorts (or 'jorts'). Let’s take a look at some of the up-and-coming trends in menswear for summer 2025.
Short Shorts
Take a look at the men’s catwalks of summer 2025 collections, the shorts this year are short. Yes this style takes a bit of confidence to pull off. However styled correctly, shorts can be a stylish and versatile addition to your summer wardrobe. Shorts are not only restricted to the realm of sporty and casual looks anymore either, this year we will be seeing men dressing up tailored shorts with shirts, blazers and dress shoes for a smart summer look.
And yes, the jean shorts (also known as jorts) are included in this trend!
Sportswear
Windbreakers, chunky trainers and football-kit inspired silhouette are predicted to be big this summer. 80’s style shell suits and tracksuits are coming back this year, not only for workouts, but in casual street fashion too.
For the retro sporty look, the Peper Harow Striped Sport Socks add a sporty twist to any look.
Pastel Pink
2025 will be the year you break down some gender-norms and have some fun with colours. You may have noticed that one shade of dusty pastel pink is popping up more and more in men’s fashion, and for good reason too. This calming shade is nice to look at and pairs will with anything from a pink t-shirt and well-worn jeans to a full pink suit.
If you are a little apprehensive about adding a new colour into your wardrobe this summer, start with small details of outfits, if you find yourself enjoying an extra pop of colour then you can build it up and add more to your looks.
A great place to start would be with pink socks.
Minimalism and Monochrome
The latest in classy and sophisticated looks, many gentlemen this summer will be opting for monochrome outfits. Inspired by fashion icons such as Mads Mikkelsen, Willem Defoe and Adrien Brody, all of whom are rarely seen wearing one or two more colours at once. Black, white, khaki, grey and cream are all standout colours in menswear, strong enough to be the only shade you are wearing at any one time.
Plaid
Plaid has always been stylish. From lumberjacks to hipster baristas, everyone pulls off this look well. In Summer 2025 this timeless item is once again having it’s moment. A good plaid shirt has always been the most versatile and practical item that a man can have in his wardrobe, and with the fickle weather we are experiencing as spring turns to summer, this item really sines in it’s utility as an extra layer that looks just as good tied around the waist or the shoulders as it does warn as a shirt.
Office wear
The hit Apple TV show Severance might be who we must thank for this trend, but we are seeing office wear entering more spacing than just the 9-5. Suit pants, ties, and formal shoes are appearing in casual and street wear looks, as a nod to the subtle style of the office worker. A half-tucked or untucked shirt, or a deliberately loose tie not is the perfect styling for a rugged and casual look.
Add some office-chic to any look by opting for a blazer instead of a jacket.
Polo shirts (modern preppy)
Small and tight-fitting polo shirts are predicted to be the go-to item for the semi-formal occasion this summer. The sleek and modern silhouette lends itself to a new form of preppy style. Both block colour and patterned polo shirts are essential for pool-side drinks and garden parties in 2025.
If a polo isn't your style, this preppy look can be just as effective with any short sleeve button up paired with slacks or chinos.
