Men’s Winter Fashion Guide 2024

Winter is one of the best seasons for fashion, layering is king at this time of year, and there are so many fun and interesting ways that you can balance fashion with comfort and warmth. Despite this, many men struggle to pick out winter looks, you don’t want to settle and wear the same coat you have been wearing for the past 10 years again.  Here is some advice on how to stay classy and stylish this winter, without sacrificing any warmth or comfort.

Big boxy overcoat

A long coat elevates any outfit in to a next level of sophistication, any item of clothing that makes you feel like an old-timey detective while wearing it is always a must-have for any man’s wardrobe.

Relaxed silhouette

It is the season of layering. The best way to make your layers look natural, and prevent you from walking out the house feeling uncomfortably-bundled, is to keep your silhouette relaxed. Focus on keeping the outer layers of any outfit baggy, the excess material not only archives a classy and casual look, but also helps hide any amount of thermal layers underneath.

Faux Furs

In the past there has been much debate about faux vs real furs, but in recent years the production of faux furs has improved in leaps and bounds. Every high-end and luxury fashion company is now producing their own faux products. You can now achieve the timeless stylish looks in a much more sustainable way than ever before. Not only are Faux furs cruelty-free, but they are also much more durable and suitable for every-day use then the real thing, making them much more cost-effective and eco-friendly.

Chunky shoes

If you don’t already own a good pair of sturdy boots or high-quality pair of shoes with a durable soul, then you need to add them to your Christmas list! Not only is it important that ever man has a decent pair of all-terrain footwear in his collection, but a chunky shoe is the perfect way to round off any winter outfit.

Knitwear

Cardigan, sweater vest, ugly festive jumper, it is the time of season for knitwear. This year a baggy cut chunky knit is the trending knitwear of choice, but you can never go wrong with any of the old classics, we all have a comfy fisherman’s jumper in the back of our wardrobe, now is the best time to get it out and try out some new ways of styling it.

Denim

Denim is a staple all year round, this long lasting and versatile fabric has been a part of our wardrobes for centuries. If you think you can pull it off, this winter may just be the perfect opportunity to try and brave the infamous double denim combo.

Muted colours and neutrals

This winter neutrals are going to be big. Beige isn’t always boring, paired with a muted green or a rusty orange for a comfortable, under-stated warn in look that Vouge is calling “Grandpa Core” an ode to classic old pieces such as chunky knit sweaters and corduroy jackets. We are excited to see this trend coming back into fashion for another year, as it promotes sustainable fashion. Taking care of your pre-existing wardrobe is just as important as purchasing new items when it comes to dressing well, and grandpa core is focused on finding new ways to style vintage looks.
