Women’s Autumn Fashion Guide-2025

Autumn often feels like the perfect time for a re-set. As the days are getting shorter and the weather is getting colder, September and October are the perfect months to shift into a cosy way of life, and prepare yourself for winter. This might mean decorating your house in autumnal décor, finally perfecting that cosy indoor hobby or craft you have had your eye on, or changing up your wardrobe for something more suited to the cold weather.

Stripes

British Vouge has noticed that one surprising trend popping up all runways this autumn/winter season it’s stripes. From big bold and vibrant striped jumpers to subtle pinstripes, everyone seems to be incorporation this pattern into their autumnal looks thus year.

Another contemporary trend that has been spotted all over the runways this season is women’s suits. In contrast to the put-together and formal nature of suits, another trend coming back this year is the slogan shit. Perhaps playing on some 90’s and y2k nostalgia (a time of iconic slogan shirts), we have seen many celebrities and fashion Iconic rocking shirts with text on recently. Faux Fur

Fur has been a staple in luxury fashion for as long as fashion has existed. However, we now have the technology to produce synthetic fur as a much more sustainable, eco-friendly and cruelty free way to wear timeless luxurious looks. Faux fur will be having it’s moment this autumn/winter in the form of fuzzy hems on dresses, and warming fluffy jackets and coats.

Modern Prep

The theme for this trend is scholar with a twist. Taking the staples of prep fashion such as corduroys, collared shirts, blazers and polos, and styling them in ultra-layered way for the autumn season. This is the perfect smart/casual trend, allowing you to look put-together and comfortable at the same time, while also showcasing all the best parts of autumn such as knitwear, thick corduroy trousers and flannel shirts.
