Wash Hands Before Handling Mask.
You should wash your hands with soap and warm water before putting the mask on and taking the mask off. Washing your hands properly removes dirt, viruses and bacteria and stops them spreading to other people and objects
Placing the Mask On Your Face.
Hold the mask by the ear loops and place a loop around each ear. Do not touch the mask unless necessary, and if so, make sure your hands are thoroughly washed. Make sure the mask sits snugly on the face, the mask should cover half your nose, mouth and chin.
Do Not Touch the Mask Whilst Wearing It.
Touching the mask defeats the purpose of it, you should never touch the outside of the mask whilst wearing it. If touching the mask is unavoidable, clean your hands before or after with an alcohol based hand gel if washing them is not possible. Replace the mask if it becomes damp.
Removing the Mask and Washing It.
Clean your hands with soap and water before touching the mask. Only touching the ear loops, hold both ear loops and gently lift and remove the mask. Once the mask is removed put straight into the washing machine at 60 degrees.
Do Not Wear the Mask for Extended Periods.
Do not wear a mask for a long period of time – a maximum of eight hours at most each day. Only wear the mask when you are in contact with other people and replace it immediately if it becomes damp or dirty.
Take Time To get Accustomed To Using The Mask
